Bummer ! It looks like we, the people who did our medicals in July and after might be receiving PPR early next year. Looking at the trends from previous year, things slow down significantly from November going to the holiday season.

By the way here is the update for my time line since receiving medicals/AOR:

Medical/AOR received: June 28th, 2010

Medicals Done in Seattle: July 8th, 2010

Medical reached Ottawa: July 14th,2010 ( By tracking information obtained from the DMP)

Currently waiting for an update from Buffalo. I emailed Buffalo CIC couple of days ago to inquire if they have received the medical exam results and this is what the reply was:

" Yes, we have received the results of your medical exam.

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete. "

Standard reply I guess, there was no indication of what the processing status was. I hope that we receive PPR before the end of the year....but I am not holding my breath right now. Things seems to change just before my application reach a certain stage. I will let the chips fall in whatever direction they will....and we be waiting patiently.

However, I think they should no longer tout AINP as the fastest processing for Immigration to Canada,as it seems by the time most of us are done ( and we submitted everything in time) since we applied for nomination its going to be 2 YEARS.

Hello Guys,

Its been more than three months since I did my medical exam. I sent an inquiry. Here is the reply from Buffalo.

"We accept more than 2000 permanent resident applications every month, most of them priority cases. Circumstances beyond our control can create backlogs.
Please note, processing times are simply averages and subject to change, they are not guarantees. As indicated on our website, the processing times noted are an average of files finalized between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010. Past processing times may not indicate the length of time it will take to finalize applications in the future."

Have a look at Canada – Permanent and Temporary Residents sections in the following page, its almost same in all the quarters, I believe that the processing speed should not be reduced.

CIC Folks,

Based on the processing times at the begining of the year this wait is unusual and we must hope things will start moving soon.

joekhan,
My CIC app was received by CIC on the same day as yours. My check got encashed on the 29th of Sep. I don't know how they determine who they are going to process first...
