Looks like whose medicals reached in June are getting theirs PPR now. My Friend got his request to submit FBI clearance and PPR fees. His medicals reached end of June. Looks like it is aroud 3 months lag. Also the during the end of year they run out of visa numbers and holidays slow down the process a lot.
Justin
Justin: Did they ask for the FBI clearance from your friend second time or your friend did not submit the FBI report with the application?. The reason i am asking is, I did provide all the FBI/PCC along with the application and did my medicals in August. Right now I am in India and not planing to go back to US. I am kind of worried about CIC asking the FBI reports again, its hard to get FBI reports staying here in India.. Thanks in advance for the help.

Peach; Request for additional document come about within 10 days of receiving your AOR/Medicals if you had not already submitted these documents. It is very unlikely that you will get a second request. Also, if your PCCs are dated after your nomination you should be fine.

Looking at CIC Forum status timeline there is no Passport request for applicants completed medical in month of July or late June. Hopefully in few weeks we will start seeing the passport request for these folks.

Here is the update from my side (in bold) -
Passport and RPRF Request through email - 16 August 2010 Passport sent (with RPRF) - 16 August 2010 Passport Received (with RPRF) by CIC - 18 August 2010 Status update - 7 September 2010 New line in the updated status - "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." Passport sent by CIC - 9 September 2010
Couple of observations -
Passport was received with immigrant visa on September 11. The immigrant visa is a single entry visa. Medicals were completed on June 24, 2010. The immigrant visa is valid till June 24, 2011. The package also contained COPR or CPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence). Three photos (as per CIC website) were sent with my passport (and RPRF). One of the photo is glued on CPR and rest were returned (in the package). There was also an instruction letter with the package asking to carefully review the CPR and inform CIC of any mistake. Some general information was also provided on the back and front of the letter.
Thanks and Good Luck to you all.

Guys and Gals, i have this buddy of mine i guess you have same timelines, he told me he already got passport request last week Friday, and a week before that he tried sending inquiry about his application status and next thing he told me that he already got the request for passport. So i conclude that the squeaky wheel gets the oil first? Heheheheh.... Yes 3+ months since medical were sent. Processing started in May first week.

No, that's only an absolutely coincidence. Most, if not all, of us got to this stage not by making noise around delays in the process, but by letting the process take its time. Let's please avoid starting another wave of inquiries to CIC on status for PPR !! It will cause a bottleneck and critical inquiry cases (I mean really critical cases!) will also get adversely affected. Guys and Gals,
