In that mail you received, you must see a covering letter that indicates that your application was received. That is the ack of receipt. The very fact that you have a bar code sticker indicates that you have a registered number (B****) that is allocated only when they ack your application. The instructions on the bar code are clear and do not indicate that we should stick one on the med reports. The med report has the regn number anyways. Stickers to be used only when you (applicant) send any other correspondence to CIC.

I still don't get it, are we supposed to receive 2 mails? one for AOR and another one for Medical requests?
I only received one mail white package for medical requests. And i already did them and they were sent today. But i haven't recieved any other mail/email.
Are we supposed to put the barcode sticker on the medical forms? i didn't put it on them
please advise.
thx

CAN PRINCIPAL APPLICANT COMPLETE MEDICALS IN US & REST OF THE FAMILY IN NATIVE COUNTRY.
Seniors - Couple of questions :(My situation is : I'm waiting for my h1b extension.)
1. My family have to travel to our Native country.Based on my following timelines:
CIC Recieved my Applicaton : May 4th 2010.
Check Cashed : Not sure ( as I submitted MO's)
I will be here until I get my extension and also have to travel to bring my family back to US.
What would you suggest: Can my family get their Medicals done over there and I can get my medicals done over here.

Please advice.

One question about AVR:

I just read some people used AVR for landing because their visas have expired in passport. So if the H1B and I-94 are still valid, can I go to Canada within 30 days by AVR?

Thanks.

Hi,

You can do the medicals with any DMP. That means you can do them in the US while your family can do theirs in your home country. IMO it should not make a whole lot of a difference, thought might delay the processing a bit.

Thanks,

Hi,

You can use a AVR to re enter the US if you have a valid I94.

Please refer to the following links for details.

Does anyone have information on various Govt. processes that we need to complete after landing? I am aware of only one i.e., SIN Card.
I have also heard about

1. Alberta ID or Driver's License
2. Alberta Health Insurance Card

I am wondering if we are eligible to apply for these immediately after landing.

Any thoughts?
