Japer, enlighten me on this!! I get a scanned copy from my Campbel Cohen front desk. Just two pages. One page has the file number and states that case is being assessed and the second page is in regards to any changes, if required.
This is how happened in your case???

Yes, that's how I received my AOR/Medical. I received the detailed explanation of the documents from the lawyer by email the next day. Then the law firm forwarded the package to me by FedEx.

Thanks Jasper..well the front desk has only forwarded me with the file number, I am not sure whether the medical request is enclosed along with it or not...I'll wait and see what officer has to say...till then keep my fingers crosed...weekend will be long..I checked the status with the file number and found it to be in process. They started it on 13th July. If you want to update it in your spreadsheet. TC.

Mods, I sent you a message to your inbox. Did you receive it ? If not , tell me - I will resend it.

Did anybody recently add their newborn kids to the application after your medical request was received. I sent my newborn's application and its been over a month didn't receive AOR and medical request for my daughter. I mailed the buffalo guys but no response till date, was wondering if anybody else is in the sam boat.

You really dont have to do anything special for AVR. I have used it plenty of times. Actually the last visa stamp on my passport is a F1 visa from 2001.

Just keep in mind that dont surrender your I-94 when you leave the US and take the passport that has the old visa (in my case its on an older passport). Other than that nothing much. One thing to note is that a lot of immigration officers are new and some dont know about AVR. If you come across one that doesnt then just ask him/her to go inside and check with the supervisors.

Good luck and Congratulations.
