Hi Guys,

Just got my AOR and Medicals today. My application reached CIC March 18th. I would say wait 20 weeks before you do anything further or loose hope. The AORs are not always processed in order the application is received; so dont expect that everyone whose application reached CIC on a certain date will get the AOR on the same date. It can be a couple of weeks off. The important thing to keep in mind is that you should get it within 20 weeks (Although CIC says 30 weeks, I havent seen it take that long for anyone recently).

Jasper Please Update my info in the timeline. Thanks.

HI,

Please advice accordingly,

I have received mine own FBI report (Applicant) but my spouse FBI fingure prints was rejected due to common reason of LOW QUALITY PRINT.
Now Should I apply to CIC without waiting for her FBI report or I should not.

One thing which scares me is by the time I will receive her report provided 2nd time submission is approved than by that time mine report will close enough to 90 days expiry limit.

What do you guys suggest.

Thanks in advance.

If you get the application to CIC while the FBI is close to getting expired but not expired then its OK. I would leave atleast a week or so for mailing time.

More importantly you dont want to push against the AINP nomination expiry date as recently CIC has sent some people letters requesting for a new nomination as it is expired or was close to getting expired when they received it. To be on the safe side I would mail the application to CIC atleast a month before the AINP nomination expires.

Its better to send without FBI with an attached cover letter explaining the reason for the missing FBI. They will request it after they send you an AOR. But make sure when the time gets close to getting an AOR that you have a current FBI PCC. Its taking about 4 months to get AOR so time your wifes FBI PCC accordingly.

Also try to get a computer based fingerprint scan if possible.

Can any one post their experience with New York Consulate? I would like to know how long does it take to receive passport back from the consulate once they receive it.
I sent my passport by USPS Express, and included a self-addressed "stamped" (not metered) USPS Express envelope. Received passport with Visa stamp in 14 days.

Hi Priya! Did you have an option to give the passport in person and get it stamped? If that option is there then I think better to visit Niagara falls once.

I have that option,
But I am in Texas ,and I don't want to spend 495$ x 2 = 1000$ .
Drive to NYC is also not possible because its 1,631 x 2=3262 Miles .
Better wait for 10 more days,so I send my passport via Express Mail (USPS).

Priya,

I see that CIC requested additional information from you. What additional info did they want?

Thanks.
