I printed following documents from the links just incase immigration officer is not aware of and may need to show him what i m eant for.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/laws/telegrams/telegrams_1441.html

Thanx and good luck.

canadian business hours are Monday to Friday only........................

Thanks Despo.

Did you print any document to support the usage of AVR? If yes, please provide the link.

Also, do you know if offices are open on Saturday in Canada (SIN, Medical Card)? I believe landing has nothing to do with weekend..

I have been nominated by Alberta last year and already applied for CIC. Recently I had a family change so wanted to know how to add the newborn to my application to both Alberta and CIC.

Please share your thoughts.

Thanks

I had to add my daughter too after sending my application to CIC.

I sent an email to AINP asking to add my daughter to my nomination.

they replied to send them the passport and birth certificate copy to them and they would inform CIC about the change.

Dear  ,

Thank you for your interest in Alberta.  In response to your enquiry, I am pleased to provide you with the following information.

If your status has changed after you have received your approval letter from the AINP, for example; addition of dependents, change of mailing address you must advise the AINP AND CIC.

To advise the AINP, please submit additional documents or changes, by mail or fax to:

Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program
Suite 940, Telus Plaza North Tower
10025 Jasper Avenue
Edmonton, Alberta T5J 1S6
Fax Number: 780-427-6560

When sending us your update, please ensure you state your full name and file number. Please note we are unable to accept these updates over email.

The AINP will match your update with your file.  Please be advised that we are unable to confirm the receipt of any update or documents submitted.

If you wish to add dependents to your nomination, you must submit a complete updated IMM0008 Generic form, a complete updated AINP candidate form, copy of dependents passport, and evidence of change (for example: a birth certificate for the addition of a child).

The AINP will advise CIC of these changes, but the AINP will not re-issue you a new certificate to reflect your changes.

You must also directly advise the CIC visa office, by mail, where you submitted your permanent resident application of the change in your status.

If you have any questions, please contact the Immigrate to Alberta Information Service, toll free in Alberta at 1-877-427-6419 and outside of Alberta at 1-780-427-6419 or refer to Alberta's official immigration website at www.albertacanada.com/immigration/.

Application sent via fedex on 25-APr-2010. CIC received on the 28-Apr-2010. Draft yet to encashed.

Even if CIC wants to send the application back is ther any time frame before which it has to do it?

Draft has been encashed on the 31 of May 2010. I had also sent PCC and FBI for me and my wife on the 28th of APril. Please update.

Hi Hari,

You mentioned you sent FBIs and PCC after sending the initial application and before getting the AOR. Can you please advise how did you do it and how did you make sure it reached CIC as there is no tracking available before File #.

I am on the same boat already filed CIC and later got FBI but am afraid to send it now to CIC without any proper reference as it may get lost and I have to wait for a good 4 months again to get new FBI.

please advise

Thanks

Hello Mod777,

When I updated this forum, the very first time i did NOT mention that i had sent the PCCs and FBI certifcates with my application package. THis information did not get reflected in the CIC time tracker(google pdf). Hence when my draft was paid(on the 31 of May) i wanted the right details to be updated in the doc by the person who was updating the detials.

I did NOT send the PCCs separately. I had sent it the very first time when I had sent the package on the 28th of April.

I will have the same doubts as you have now regarding FBI and PCCs if I had to send it separately. If I were you, I would take a copy and send the originals to CIC.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
As far as FBI is concerned, even if you do want a second copy I think you can call the number in the FBI certificate and check with them. In my case my last name was typed wrongly and they did send me a corrected certificate in a week when i had asked for a new one.
Regarding PCC(India) is concerned  i do not have any information like the above one. They dont even pick up the phones during the mentioned time. But they do pick it up in the morning when nobody calls :-) and are helpful.

Hope it helps.

Hi,
Newbie here, just want some insights on my questions from the experts here. I was nominated recently, based on the trend of recents approval ,how long long does it take for the whole process with CIC to have the approval? Also, what are the chances of being denied by CIC, my appologies for sounding stupid here. Thanks.
