Hello People,

I got my Alberta nomination. I am getting ready to apply to CIC, Buffalo.

I just want to verify
passport copy, rest of the supporting documents has to be notarized/ certified copy?

For Ainp, I submitted all notarized copies only. Do we have to do the same for CIC also?

Please advice.

Thanks,

As I mentioned earlier, I got my nomination and going to apply for PR  @  CIC, Buffalo office.

But I am planning to go back to India.

Can I transfer my files to New Delhi office after I receive AOR?
They say, now a days there is no transfer, we have to complete the process in whatever office you start.

I dont mind, but is it ok? are there any practical difficulties in that case?

Please advice.

Thanks,

I am working with a lawyer, and she said to just send regular copies. She referred me to the CIC website which says nothing about notarized copies....
if someone has different experience PLEASE share with us? I am about to send mine as well..

Lets hope our wait is not too long.

I am sorry, but why are you guys "transferring" your files? form where? I thought once you start with one visa office, you continue working with them, even if you leave the country etc...

Hi Inside !!

It is not our call to transfer files. It's CIC buffalo's call. They make decision on file transfer.

good luck

Dear Despo,

Hope your case goes well.

Following your advice, I have sent my application to CIC on Dec.29 and CIC received it on Dec.30th.
The package contains everything besides an expired FBI record.
Do you think they will process my application or just wait till i send the recent valid FBI record?
My H1-B will expire in 2011 and I do not intend to renew it. What is the possibility that I can get my PR before Oct. 2010?

Best

those who already applied CIC,

Do we need to notarize the photocopies like we did for Ainp?
Please let me know if we need to notarize documents like passport copies, H1b papers, marriage certificates like that...

Thanks a lot,

Procan,
Do not need to notarize any documents that are in English.
