Nix, On your blogspot ( http://journeytoalberta.blogspot.com), the doc says PR card has validity of 1 or 5 years. Even the passport request I receievd says my PR Visa would be valid till August 2010. Is this usual? I heard earlier that we get PR for 5 years always. |

Jyde/Nix, What is the expiry date for your PR as written on the visa on your passport? Guys,
This is unbelievable.
Miled my passport to NY (fedex) on monday morining 9:01am.
NY received the passport next day tuesday 9:25am.
Just now 3:25pm thursday received passport back with PR VISA & COPR
God is good.

Despo, There is no date mentioned in ecase but i believe it was in oct sometime here is what ecase says: We started processing your application on July 24, 2009. We transferred your application to the New York office on August 18, 2009. The New York office may contact you. Medical results have been received. Also, It looks unlike Nix, I would be getting my PR for only 1 year as mentioned on my passport request letter  |

What is the expiry date for your PR as written on the visa on your passport?
@ shyli your PR visa on your passport is valid one year after medical. So when you land you will be sent a PR card which has 5 years validity. |

I have recently received my nomination and have all the documents except the PCC and FBI report.
Can you advise if anybody has sent the application with out PCC and FBI earlier and later on sent the rest of the documents. In the meanwhile I have applied for FBI please share your timelines as to how long does it take?

Ram, You have included everything. Check with the letter you have recieved about reqmnt of sending one set of photo seperatly after writing your name on the back side. Can you tell me what is written on 1st page of your passport request letter towards very end...I mean what is the expiry date of your visa. wow thanx ram for prompt reply. your file transferd to 7th September and mine transferd to 1st september. Looks like NY has seriously forgotten about me this time......sigh sigh but hey ram once again congratulations. one thing i must say that we have pretty much same time line since Pre-assesment. |
