I think the key to using AVR is to have your current I94 in your passport when you get ready to go back to the USA. The only question that was asked was what was my occupation and I was also asked for my H1-b approval.
I did not have any problem at all.
To be careful I recommend carrying your H1b documents ( pay stub, I797, I94, employment verification letter and vacation letter from your employer) and a copy of the AVR law.
Good luck

Hi, Dear All,
I have got all my materials ready for CIC step, except the FBI records.
I have an old FBI non-criminal record issued in May 2009. New request has been filed to FBI,
Do you guys think it is possible to file the application using the old FBI record and then update this document when I receives the new? My PCCs from state and Indian are near expiring. Quite doubt that the FBI record can come before other PCCs expire.

Hi indium,

You can send application to CIC with old expired FBI records as your other pccs are close to expiration date. I would suggest you to write note on piece of paper about your status for obtaining new FBI record is under pipeline and once you receive it you will send them new FBI card. That way they dont send your file back.........

good luck.

We need to send Schedule 4 provinical nominee and it asks for amount of funds.  do we need to show the amount as per their guidelines or lesser amount can be shown. clarification is required in this.

Hi Bubbly,

You need to show little more than what they  have asked for in that form depend on family size. However you can put any ammount you would like to put as you AINP h1b category does not required to submit proof of fund ( Bank Statement and stuff like that ).

Good luck.
