Guys,
Is it a must to get state police clearance besides the FBI clearance?
Is it necessary to include other supporting docs which are required by FSW but not PN, for example, settlement funds, education, work experience and language proficiency?
I just don't wanna over do it, but would like to follow what most ppl do here. Thanks.

Check with cchabert.

Howdy,

I got my nomination on November the 30th, and I am on the process of getting my PCC. I would like to know if anyone on this forum got the PCC from Mexico, specially the one required from the PGR. What is the process to get it? Do we have to go over there to obtain it? I read on the website of Canada that they will give us more details later during the process, but I want to be proactive and get it as soon as possible.

Any comment will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks guys for your help..... one more question, the page of the PGR states that we need to have a letter from the embassy requesting for the "Constancia de Antecedentes Regístrales".  Do you cchabert know if this letter will come later during the process from the embassy? Is that the reason that Canada will required this PCC after we send the application and during the process?

Thanks again.

Nope you need to go to the Mexican consulate and have a hard time explaining all this so they can give you the letter that you'll send with the rest of documents that PGR is requesting. Do you have any body in Mexico City? you'll save a lot of money of you have somebody who can help you over there.

Yes, I have family living in Mexico City.

then Canada didn't give you the letter and you had to get if from the Mexican consulate??!!! that is a good observation..... I will need to start earlier the process to get it soon.

6sigma,

it normally takes 60 days from the date of check encashed. looks like you alreday crossed that 60 day window. you should get something soon. it's already 12 weeks since you sent application. no harm to send email to buffalo asking for status. ( email i would suggest )

buffalo-im-enquiry  @  international.gc.ca
Mission Tel.: (716) 858-9500
Immigration Tel.: (716) 858-9501
Mission Fax: (716) 852-4340
Immigration Fax: (716) 852-2477

sorry i missed you question earlier. Smiley

good luck.

Presently Buffalo is creating file in database of those who sent application on 31st July. So september sender should wait one more month.

I lived 5 states in USA and also in Toronto, canada
This is the  time line after applying for Local PCC.
NEW YORK     7-10 Business days
NEW JERSEY  5-10 Business days
COLORADO    3-5 business days
MICHIGAN      3-4 Weeks
CALIFORNIA  1-8 Weeks
But, the Michigan and California time line is high.
So, I want one thing is that they are asking compulsorily all the people or not.
And also, I lived in Toronto for 1 year in 2004-2005. I was in student there.
They will ask Toronto also. Is there any necessary of taking for Toronto local PCC.

Thanks for replying me.
Specially thanks for Despo.
