6sigma,

it normally takes 60 days from the date of check encashed. looks like you alreday crossed that 60 day window. you should get something soon. it's already 12 weeks since you sent application. no harm to send email to buffalo asking for status. ( email i would suggest )

Hey Guys, sorry for the late response I have been really busy and away from my computer.

I emailed NY CIC on Thursday and they replied back on Tuesday with this:

Dear Mr.,
We have reached our target for visa issuance for 2009.  The notices for additional documents and / or requirements, which may include the passport request letter, will be mailed to you around January 2010.

from research NY CIC only issues about 10,000 PR visas and they run out pretty quick.

all those who are waiting for PPR send them an email from their website be nice and polite and they will reply back with something with in 2 - 3 days.

@  Despo thanks for putting this up here

Hi Guys,

20 days ago, I got a letter asking for an RPRF fee and the birth certificate of my now, 1 month old baby. Sent the 2 like two days after I received the letter. What does this indicate?

Howdy,

I got my nomination on November the 30th, and I am on the process of getting my PCC. I would like to know if anyone on this forum got the PCC from Mexico, specially the one required from the PGR. What is the process to get it? Do we have to go over there to obtain it? I read on the website of Canada that they will give us more details later during the process, but I want to be proactive and get it as soon as possible.

Any comment will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.
