Hi Despoimmigrant,

I only send FBI and home country PCC.
So, they will ask for local pcc or not.
When and how they are going to ask me local pcc.
After medical receiving to them. in how many days they will ask me.

Thanks for response.

If Your medical results are ok !! If you have sent all PCC's than you will get stright PPR.....

Hi Friends,

My application was reached on Aug 10.I got my medical on nov 12.
Me and my wife done medical in NY.. they charged $200 for each person.
they will compulsorily ask local PCC or not.
In next step what type of documents they need (or) they will ask directly a passport request.

Can anybody give me a brief information.

Thanks for all,
Narsanna

Hi narsnaa,,,

I don't know yet that your file is still in Buffalo or transferd to NY. If you ahve not started appplying for State PCC u should start gathering now. if your file transferd to NY or other consulate than it takes normally 2 months to update ecase status "Medical Results are Received" once that is received they normally ask for PCC.. but once you know that your file is transferd to NY no harm sending state PCC even before they ask for it. I am sure lot of people did the same. that will save some time for you.

hope this helps !! good luck

Hi narsanaa,

It all depends now where your file is going to be processed. If Baffalo transfers your file to NY consulate than they will send out notification to you saying the same. I would suggest you to wait for 10 to 15 days. Normally buffalo send out file transfer notifications in 10 to 15 days after AOR. Once you get that you will know where to send your PCC's. I would not encourage you to send any PCC's either to buffalo or ny for next 30 days from the day you got yoru AOR. if your file is sent to NY consulate than it normally takes 3 months to get Passport request if all documents are submited on time. 3 months from the day your file is tranferd to NY. If your file end up being in Baffalo than it will take longer. let's say about 8 to 9 months from today. lots of people got stuck in baffalo........ i hope that does not happen to your file. But again it's luck.

Good luck.

Despo

IA stands for initial accessment that is the letter that you reveive when they are ready for you to send the RPRF fee. I am not really sure what the exact day my ecase was updated to medical received. I notice the change the day i received the pr request in my email. I am not really sure there is a specific day for ecase updates.

You need pcc from all states you lived more than 6 months in US. Yes you can apply local pcc anytime you want. They are valid for 3 months from the date of issue.

It basically says if you need a interview or not, if you need to send additional documents and ask that you send the RPRF fee if you have not already done it. Hope it helps.

Finally, I made it. I am writing this from the hotel I am staying in Calgary. We crossed from Coutts, AB and it was a really pleasant experience. There were no questions about fund, not even a bank statement or how much money I am carrying. I was driving a rented car (GMC Yukon) and there were no questions about the car also. Asked for address to mail the PR cards and I gave an address in Calgary (Friend's relative).

I will write more on our converstions at the Port of Entry later. Thanks guys and good luck to all of you.

Nix1:
Would you mind to help couple of people on this forum? s your friend's relative's address can be used like Post office mail box and when we land we can provide them same address?

Dear magichand,

Did you have to go through a pre-assesment or was your application processed through the new system ?
I first sent in my application in Dec 08, and went through a preassessment and an invitation to apply in April 09.
Submitted my application May 6th, 09.
Recieved my AOR Aug 26th, 09.

I still have not recieved my file number.

My question is does it take 8 months for processing once AINP recieves my application(which is May 6th, 2009) or does it take 8 months after you get your file number?

Greatly appreciate it if you could respond.
Thanks

Thanks Despo
