Thanks for the info despo.
I am just a little worried that I seem to be the only one whose case was transferred before getting an AOR/Medical. Still, my online status shows, case started processing on July 28th. I sent an email enquiry to the consulate in New York City where my case was transferred 2 weeks ago. Hoping for the best. Good luck to you as well, if all goes well, we should both have a PR in hand by the end of this year.
There is nothing to be worried about it. It is good sign that your file has been transfered to NY. Heard from people on this forum that they are pretty fast in processing compare to others. You should be getting something in mail pretty soon may be sometime next week you may get medical as well........... good luck to you too as well................... HI despoimmigrant, yours and mine is almost the same timeline. here is my timeline Application sent to Visa Office : 22th June 2009 Visa office received Date : 24th June 2009 Cash Encashed (Both Application and Right of landing fee) : 13th July 2009 Medical Received Date : 22nd August 2009. just trying to check if i am not missing anything, the letter i received from cic has 4 pages the 1st page is about your file has been placed in queue on the back page is change in personal information form. the remaining 3 pages is about the medical instruction along with medical report form(stapled). Is this all we need this time? now we just go to the designated medical practioner and they will send the report . we dont have to send anything on our own this time. Is there anything more we need to do buddy? Hooooooooooooooooooooooore !!
Fianlly got AOR/MEDICAL today in snail mail.
Time line is here
Application sent to Visa Office : 24th June 2009
Visa office received Date : 25th June 2009
Cash Encashed (Both Application and Right of landing fee) : 16th July 2009
AOR/Medical Received Date : 21st August 2009.

HI dipen, congrats !! We both received same thing. I am sure your ecase status may not be updated or no information available. Get yor Medical done asap. I am taking appointment for sometime next week. this is all we need to do time being as our file has not been accessed............... good luck and keep in touch looks like we both are driving our car side by side towards Alberta..........  Tonight they update information on ecase. if either of us file has been accssed iin mean time it will display on ecase status early morning tomorrow. if you see anything do let me know i will also keep you updated. I am right behind you. My file was transferred to NYC a week after yours (I looked at your timeline on Trackitt). I was hoping that they would update with "medical results received", but no luck. I even requested them to update my mailing address (there is an error), they did not bother to do that too. I requested two weeks ago via case specific enquiry for that. Earlier, Buffalo updated my address in a week (but with an error). |

Oh man..only next tuesday?  anyways I got the doctors appointment for this thursday. the lady asked me to bring Passport size photos otherwise I was planning to take cic application photos. I dont think it matters much anyways. Do u know how much the total medical charges would be for a single person. 165 Examination + 95 XRAY = Total $ 260 (includes mailing charge)

220 per adult all inclusive (xray, Mailing fee, examination)
