Please advice,
Received PPR last week and got it stamped on this Tuesday. Now I have three questions for my future planning and information Please reply.
Avalop in previous post you mentioned regarding personal message I have not received any, other wise I would have called you.
1.. H1B Ext is approved. Will it make any problem as when I will appear for an Interview Visa Officer will see me as an permanent resident.
2.. Current Visa expires on 17th Sep. As I have approved H!B Ext, how earlier to expiration date can I appear In person for H1B Stamping.
3.. Since I will be landed Immigrant for canada and in that case Can I start GC application here in USA.
Thanks,

I have a friend who applied in August and got his medicals in Late Feb. You may want to do a case specific inquiry with the CIC as you case has crossed the normal processing time (20 weeks). For your convenience, i have shared the link below: https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=buffaloIsmail Hi Jenny

Hi Guys, Since i will be landing this month end, i have a question regarding getting Alberta Drivers License . According to Website ( http://www.servicealberta.gov.ab.ca/1671.cfm) A valid licence from the United States can be exchanged for a Class 5, 6, or 7 when the applicant presents a valid licence of equivalent class. All other classes would require testing and applicants must provide applicable medical reports and undergo vision screening. All applicants must produce acceptable identification and proof of residency. Seems like its just a excahge with some proof of residency. Do we need to have US Drivers History for getting Alberta D License? if anyone has done that. Thanks for your help in advance.

Alberta license We went to a registry (same one where we applied for health cards) to apply for driving license. You need US license, driving record from DMV for at least two years (to get full license), address proof (copy of temporary SIN letter which you get when u apply is good) , COPR, SIN and health card. Paid ~ $85 per person. The eye test is more elaborate than in US. If u dont have two years history, u will get GDL, which have some restrictions. We got temporary license for 30 days.. The actual one is supposed to come in a week's time.

Qureshi Kindly use the search button and you will notice this same topic has been discussed in this thread a few times before. Anywaz here goes. 1.If your H1 extension is after six years and after six year extensions are only granted by an approved labour app(gc) in usa.The sixth year extension is contingent upon the usa immigration process and yes you might have an problem at the interview... 2.You can appear any time before expiration with the new approved I-797. 3.You cannot hold both PR's at the same time. You will have to renounce either the canadian PR or Usa gc after you get them. If you are only an 3rd yr H1 extension....there should be no problem. Please advice,
Received PPR last week and got it stamped on this Tuesday. Now I have three questions for my future planning and information Please reply.
