Dilse, For health card you need prove of Alberta residency (some utility bills, bank statement and so on). You can get sin card within an hour. However, if you don't have canadian address, I am not sure they will be able to send the actual card to you. can you let me know if I plan to travel on sunday ,reach calgary some time noon and book return monday night is that enought time ( MONDAY 8- 5p.m) to apply for SIN, HEALTH CARD and I am not planning for back account.
Thanks

yes, you can do it in half-a-day and require only COPR, local address, and passport. Go to Harry Hay's bldg in downtown for SIN card first and then walk to Licensing company in Bowsquare IV bldg (3 blocks) for healthcards. You may even have time to go up the Calgary Tower ! Do the research and plan wisely. Best of luck. can you let me know if I plan to travel on sunday ,reach calgary some time noon and book return monday night is that enought time ( MONDAY 8- 5p.m) to apply for SIN, HEALTH CARD and I am not planning for back account.

The IMM 5476 is required only if someone another person is filing the application to CIC on your behalf. For PPR, all that is required is a letter of consent. All you need to do is draft a letter authorizing your friend to present the passport to CIC for visa stamping.
Thanks AG!!

Bibo Yes u can take flight to toronto stay there for 3 days finish landing formality applying pr card and SIN card. U might not be able to apply health card right now as u need proof of occupancy like utility bill ...or something for the province . But anyways just make sure you have an address that can take care of your PR card and SIN card. 3 days is also enough time for h1 restamping and fly to home country. They wouldnt ask if you have permanent residence card when trying to leave CANADA. you are all good to go.

I am mostly concerned about h1 restamping, will the canadian PR on my passport affect that in anyway? can i restamp the h1b visa eventhough i have canadian PR? will that raise any concerns or risk? will they question why i have that at the american consulate? thanks a lot for your response Bibo Yes u can take flight to toronto stay there for 3 days finish landing formality applying pr card and SIN card. bibo, your questions are confusing - from Canada are you intending to fly to home country or to US? Is your question about stamping H1B in your home country? I am mostly concerned about h1 restamping, will the canadian PR on my passport affect that in anyway? can i restamp the h1b visa eventhough i have canadian PR? will that raise any concerns or risk? will they question why i have that at the american consulate? thanks a lot for your response
