Currently the CJIS division is taking 8-11 weeks to to return the results. At this moment expedite service is not available, however they are working on outsourcing expedite service in the near future to facilitate expedited response by an FBI-approved Channeler. Please visit the following link to learn more: http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/background-checks/list-of-fbi-approved-channelers

Hey guys! Can someone of you can share how long it takes to the FBI to send your clearence certificate??  Someone from Southern California??

Thank youi!!

Hi all,

Urgent, need your input.  My H1B renewal was approved last year and my employer only received one copy of I797A.  It states in the form that "The petitioner should keep the upper portion of this notice. The lower portion should be given to the worker."

When I come back using AVR, is the bottom portion of I797A good enough, or a xero copy of I797A will work?

Thanks,

Hi, the

For any question, you may email US CBP via their website. But you may receive the reply several days later.

If urgent, you may call up the US CBP to get confirmation.

Printouts should be sufficient. Take checks along to show that you plan to transfer funds thru check deposit.

You could be asked to produce the original I-797 approval notice. And ofcourse you need the original I-94 for AVR.
