Jasper;
Just a small question for you. Have you already completed your medicals? If so, on the parcel, did you give the doctor your personal address or did you give your lawyer's address?
Thank you.

Hsetin, My intention was not to establish a relation between 'medical done date' and 'passport request'. My intention was to let the fellow readers know that submitting the RPRF does not have any relation with passport request. Thanks Well, I agree with most of what you said, however timing can vary for lot of unknown reasons and does not have to be 30-40 days. My medicals were submitted on May 17, and my application is "IN PROCESS" since May 7, and I am still not requested for the passport, I had also sent my RPRF on July 7 (after reading emails on the forum) and the MO was cashed on 17th July, So even after 2 months of medical submission -Still no email from CIC ! So it can vary from person to person My understanding is that RPRF can be paid at any point of time. It can be paid -
1) With initial application 2) Or when you get your AOR/Medical request 3) Or when you are requested for your PCC/FBI clearance. 4) Or any day after you get your AOR (so that you have your B number as a reference).
RPRF should not be send after initial application but before AOR because you don't have the B number.
Consider RPRF as visa issuance fee. CIC will not issue you visa unless you have paid the fee. So the only time CIC will "specifically" request for RPRF when they ask for passport to issue visa.
CIC will return your RPRF if they don't want to issue you a visa.
Sending RPRF before "specifically" requested does not speed up the process.
Priya volunteered to pay RPRF. Email2Kale was asked to pay RPRF.
Priya completed her medical examination on 27 May and CIC asked for passport on 30 June. Total No. of Days consumed = 34 Email2Kale completed his medical on 17 June and CIC asked for passport/RPRF on 22 July. Total No. of Days consumed = 35

Regarding Medicals I would say we really need to track when the package reached Ottawa.
Some doctors send it right away and some take like 2 weeks

Does anyone know which number of Bank of America can I call to figure out if my cashier check has been cashed?
I called the local branch before, but they told me I have to bring the cashier check in, no phone call service.
Thanks.

I completed my medical yesterday. Even though I gave my personal address to the doctor, the Section A (Medical Report Form we received from CIC) had my lawyer's address. And the doctor took care of the rest (shipping, tracking, etc), so I didn't need to write my address or lawyer's address anywhere else.

Hey Jasper, welcome to the PPR line! chigirl, Jasper, You should get the tracking # from your doc office and ensure delivery. It doesn't matter whose address is on it. All d best.

But I don't understand what that means.

We've all got regular mail for our AORs till now. It is possible that they're sending it out as emails now and you may be one of the first to get these - hey, but I'm only guessing here. If you didnt get the "yesterday" email, you should reply and tell them you didn't get that email. You don't want to miss on any instructions they might have sent in the earlier email. I got e-mail this e-mail from CIC buffalo office. Also they sent me Bo number too Your file was created in ouf office yesterday. You should have received an email yesterday regarding your file.

Yey!!!! Just received an email from Consulate General of Canada in New York stating that they have mailed my passport with immigrant visa today. I should be receiving it tomorrow.
Just glad to say that 80% of the process is now complete.
