I booked an appointment for medicals for tuesday and they mentioned that they would do complete physicals which includes blood work, urinal analysis, past history check, blood pressure, chest xray, eye test and they mentioned they charge 350$/ head for the exam.

Items to take
forms, 2 passport size photos, pic id, eyelasses and any medication if you take currently.

seniors can you let us know if we miss something..any precautions before medical examinations....

Thanks,
Mouli

Aren't you the next in line Despo?Smiley  Nothing for me regarding medicals.

I hope I still get my PR by the end of the year, like I hoped in the beginning.

thanks bb0310

What the doctor told me regarding this is that they usually wait until the birth. There's no way they are allowing a pregnant woman to undergo x-ray.

I need one more clarification.  If the wife of principal applicant is pregnant, will CIC allow to do medicals or do we need to wait till birth of the child?  will the application will be put on hold.  suggestions required?

Yeah venky it seems like that i am next in line but there are still folks out there whos file were transferd to NY in july august. They still have not got PPR so i am kind of not expecting anything soon. but this immigration game is pure luck anything could happen anytime.

I like the way you wrote frrreeeeddddommmmm!!!. It feels that I am also getting freedom after reading it. Seriously, after this US economy, IT job market and circusmtances, this will be the most happy moment when people will get PPR. It also gives a sense of security to who are in United States. Once you get PR stamped then no bargain over bill rate if in US. This biggest sense of security a non-immigrant worker can have.
Actually you enjoy Canadian PR is US because then all fear of status-out status becomes teethless Tiger and you can easily tell your boss that you don't care about his crap. That extra confidence and boldness which you aquire because of this PR visa, boost your level and your bill rate automatically goes up 10% to 25%!!

there is no such time line for AOR. IT is random and depends how many applications CIC recieved during that time. Normaly takes 2 months to get AOR from the date your check got encashed. i got my aor in and medical in 54 days once CIC got my application. so i truely say it is pure luck in immigration process.

Great luck just 54 days!! did somebody die recently in your family who is increasing your luck like a guardian angel. Smiley)
