Hi,

I am currently in the process of acquiring an online degree through University of Phoenix. Will this degree be considered valid when applying for immigration in the skilled worker class?

Normally the Degree should be Original and stamped by the unversity so that the notrised office can stamp it as a true copy... i recomment to have in hand as original

As far as I know online degree may not be accepted. I saw some cases of Indian/Pakistani universities, where points were not given.

Anyhow I suggest you try to include your degree as their might be some chance.  Smiley

Hello,

YES. Online Degree is accepted and is already stated in the immigration guide. I myself had an online MBA and checked this myself.

Go ahead safely. Smiley

Not all online degrees are accepted; however, the University of Phoenix is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission so it should be accepted granted you can provide your degree and original transcripts.

Dani5h, your inbox is full.

Hello Dani5h,

You are welcome.

Check page 6 at the immigration guide EG7000, which states:

"Full-time equivalent studies: If you completed a program of study on a part-time or accelerated basis, count the length of time it would have taken to complete the program on a full-time basis.  " note that online degree is a part time study.

Follow this link to download the guide:

Cheers!
