Hi all,

I'm on a company specific 1 year work visa and would like to attend a 3 month part time college course in vancouver community college. How easy is it to get authorisation to do this and how do I go about it?

Thanks,

Derek

As far as I know, you do not need a study permit to take a course shorter than 6 months.  You can see this here:

In some cases, you do not require a study permit to go to school in Canada.

If you wish to study in a short-term course or program
You do not need a study permit if you plan to take a course or program in Canada that lasts six months or less. You must complete the course or program within the period authorized for your stay in Canada.

But when in doubt, you can always call CIC and ask them, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/call.asp
