Old Score as proof of competence

HI
I started my application back in 2007. I stoppped and now I am trying to finish it up. I took the IELTS in the fall of 2007 and scored 9.0 in all categories as English is my native language and I am a licensed attorney in the US. Now I still have my original IELTS results and I don't want to take the test again so I was going to write the essay detailing my English language experience and then attach the expired IELTS results from 2007 as further documentation of my language skills. Does anyone know if using the tests in this manner is acceptable for immigration purposes? Additionally, I marked no in response to the question about whether you have taken a language test. As my results have expired I thought this would be the appropriate response; however, please let me know if I should have marked yes instead. Thanks everyone!

If English is your native language, you don't need to take IELTS. With a letter of proficiency and your old IELTS as backup support, you should be fine.
