I have my views on this but I want your honest opinions - don't hold back now, you wont offend me.

Background.

He is 52, lives in Montreal, runs a successful business, he has been divorced over 15 years.
Met a 24 year old woman in Romania, online a year ago. They have met twice in Romania for a total of four weeks.
They are getting married in May 2011.

What do you think?
What do you believe CIC will see?

Huge age difference.  Woman comes from a very poor country.  Doesn't mean they don't love each other but I think immigration will definitely double check that the lady is not getting herself a free PR by hooking up with an older guy.

However, they like everybody else must prove that their relationship is real.  4 weeks of seeing each other in person is not very much but it is also very important if they have communicated through phone, emails etc. and the nature of that communication but they will have to include some of that with their file.

Even I would find this suspicious. However, they could conquer the case if they have lots of evidence that it is indeed true love.
I think they should wait with marrying and first try to cohabiting or something..

Just had lunch with my buddy from CIC and asked for his opinion,His personal opinion was that most defenitely they will need lots of evidence the relationship is real, such as 2 kids togetheror that they have been together 3-4 years etc

Red Flags!!!!!!!

Even if this was not a CIC thing.....it would raise red flags.....

Yes there are many successful relationships between people of huge age differences....my partner is 15 years older than me but I am 49, he is 64, so we are slightly more mature.

Evidence, evidence and more evidence. This case needs to be rock solid with a capital R.
