Any guidance much appreciated.

will the COPR document work for us visa application, if the PR card has not been issued to an applicant after the landing and he is applying for the us visa?

Ideally, you have to wait for some time, get yourself established first. US visa officer would ask you when you landed and if you have a job in Canada already or if you have a house or renting your own apartment now. If your answer to these questions is no, the likelihood that you will be given a visa is almost zero, regardless if you have brought with you good supporting documents as they will not even look at it.

From what I've heard, US immigration consuls care more as to why you will return to your country after your intended visit as opposed to the purpose of your visit. People can make up destination plans. However, they may have a hard time proving the reasons why they will go back to their native country.

As far as I know most of the passports (different countries) with Canadian PR will get 10 years US visa.
I am sure it would go for Indian passport too.
