SamJean updated  , and as for logging before approval , yes you can log before you are approved , in mine was just "application received " for long time before they approved me. |

Are you sure about this? I can log into ecas for about two weeks now. I heard they will notify you first about the decision through email and send the paper decision through mail.. but never got the approval yet.
I said as I was told by the agent. Do you think anyone has a definite answer to most questions online? We can only rely on what they say even though it might not be 100% correct. |

Happy New Year all On Dec. 20 I got a mail that my sponsorship was approved. (Then they went and sent my husband's part to the wrong processing office and now we are trying to fix that.) |

Hello there guys, Is there anybody who received an email with a PASSPORT REQUEST already for the october batch?  ? Coz I'm having a problem with our lawyer who process our papers, he doesn't answer any of my questions nor answer my emails...all the emails we received from CIC and our visa office here, goes to him first because hes our representative before he sends it to me...so I dont know if I need to be interviewed or I need to submit my passport already. We paid him but it seems we dont know whats going on. I'm really pissed off already. Please help thanks |

Simply place a call to the call center to ask fou update.
it says there, call only if your timeline exceeds the processing time....but the Passport request doesnt have a specific timeline, so I have no idea when to properly call them Well, maybe ill just give it a try later... they won't yell at me anyway..(hehehehehe). |

But for that part you should call embassy not the CIC. Anyway it is still too early wait a bit and try calling your embassy. |

From reading a lot of threads on this forum most people don't get the passport request until atleast 1-2 months or more from the date of file transfer to specific embassy |
