Dear All, On 12 July 2012, the VO in Hong Kong finally asked me to send in my passport to issue the PR visa. I just sent in my passport on 16 July, and hopefully they will return my passport with the PR visa soon. Good luck to you all! The whole process actually takes less than 10 months whereas the website says it will take 18 months! Cheers, Hong Kong Guy  |

Looks like there are many of the october 2011 applicants that havent received their visa calls as of yet, i am one of them, my ecas shows application received on the 6th oct, acknowlegement came in jan 2012, additional paper work sent in june/may 2012, just one day before the buffalo office closure, since then i dont know where my file is? and then nothing.. My address is showing on the ecas now. But i dont know if thats a good change? What does it mean if the address is showing?
Also, i dont know if you guys have noticed, but they are pretty lathergic at replying to email enquiries. Like i emailed them twice, and no reply. Idk what else to do?

Address showing on e-cas means they've updated their website, thats all. Good luck! |

I just checked my status today online, and this is what it says:

Approved application to sponsor husband - Jan 24, 2012
Started processing application - JULY 14, 2012?!?!
What the heck is that about? But they did ask my husband for his passport in Feb, which he sent to them at the beginning of March. It just doesn't seem to make sense.

I had to search for this thread! I hope that means that most have received PR and are happily living in Canada. For those still waiting, hold on, the time soon come! I am also waiting,with no news as yet. I am hopeful to hear something in September though  Yes. That's why I'm so confused. Maybe when they say they started processing, maybe that means they started processing his pr approval? I don't know Every VO is different. At our VO (Kingston, Jamaica) this is a sign that your file is in final review and most of us members usually see action within 3 weeks of getting this update. As you have already submitted Passport, I would guess this may mean the same thing, but it is only a guess. Good luck!! |

Hey guys, been awhile since I checked out the thread. Been so crazy busy!! All with good news however. We received request for passport on July 6th 2012. She had the Passport back on the 15th, and landed in Calgary Alberta on July 17th 2012!!!
I wish the best of luck to all with their process!

I am from Manila 2011 applicant too. Did you have problems in your application that it took it longer than usual to issue the visa? I too, am waiting for the approval. I am September 2011 applicant.
