My wireless provider will only allow me to print the last 18 months of phone records via the customer portal.
They will print the rest for me at a cost of $4 per bill.  Only problem is that my phone coversations between my (boyfriend, fiance) now husband started back in August of 2007.
I just wanted to know if someone thinks this is unecessary or if i should ask them to print them allfor me.

Spending the money isnt the issue, but if i dont have to then that would be a bonus.

Any advice would be awesome

I would get some of the older records, not necessarily all of them. Maybe every other month.

The important thing is to show that you were talking in 2007.

i was lucky to have saved my phone bills (both cell and landline) going back to 2008 when my hubby and i first started talking on the phone. I was so close to getting rid of them a few months before i submitted the application, but was too lazy to shred them...procrastination helped me for once in my life!

Thanks for the responses.

I think if im going to spend the money i might as well do it all... i dont want to have to explain why i only wanted to print every other month, but more importantly im not sure if one of the months i will be skipping has more phone calls for "proof" so i guess i dont want to risk it.

I too used to hold on to all of my bills...but going paperless is the new way to go so i decided to agree...of course never knowing it would cost me $4 per bill.

Rogers cannot cut me a deal on the bills but is willing to give me something extra for free on my account so why not.

Thanks again.

just curious as to why you would need so much proof? 5 years of phone bills??? I think that is slight overkill! I am sure if you get 1 from 2007 a couple from 2008 and so one would be plenty to show continuity. I also met my now husband in 2007, and he did all the calling back then, from his cell phone at his expense, and his cell provider only gives out call details under court order, so we dont have much except pics and a few emails...I mean I wasnt documenting in hopes of sponsoring him at that time, so I would think that immigration if they are to believe you are a genuine couple wont be so particular about the beginning paper proof. But thats just my 2 cents. $4 a bill is crazzzzzyyyyy! Best of luck!

I do agree with you, that its crazy to pay that much, i guess thats why i was looking for advice from those that have gone before.
Im so worried (anxious/nervous) even though my husband and i probably have more proof of being a genuine couple than some relationships i know of where the couple live in the same house - same city!

I guess, like i have read plenty of times before, its better to have more than less and to be safe than sorry.

This is the price we pay to help get our loved ones here...

I appreciate your opinion...exactly what i was looking for.

I really wouldn't worry..I think to be safe 3 bills from each year is even a lot! do you guys have emails? facebook?pics? Even now, my husband does most of the calling, I just txt him when I need to speak to him, and it is next to impossible to show txt msgs, so we I have will just hopefully be enough. Don't worry I am sure it will be fine, trust me I have the same stress too! But I am just gonna put my faith in what is right.

Beleive it not i dont have face book....i never gave in to the temptations Smiley
Regardless we do have about 5000 emails each for the last 4 years and a lenghty skype record.

I will order a few of the bills and also hope that its enough.

Thanks for your help.
