I am sure tech sales experience can count as long as you find an appropriate NOC for it (of skill type 0, A or B).

What NOC fulfills your ministerial requirement?

as per the link u provided

"find out if you need a police certificate from a country or territory in which you lived for six months or longer, consult the Procedures for Obtaining Police Certificates"

i lived in colombo for four years but only for 3 months after my 18th bday...i dont understand if i am supposed to get a police clearance from there or not..??

I don't think they necessarily worry about the degree so much, especially MBA because people do MBA and go into all sorts of jobs. Good luck.

Benny i have another question for you!

I have stayed in colombo, Sri Lanka from 1991 to 1995 but i stayed there only for three months after my 18th bday..do i have to get a police clearance from Sri Lanka only for 3 months...? since its only three months, is it still mandatory for me to submit police clearance. please advise.

CIC doesn't need it if it's less than 6 consecutive months: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

it very explicitly says u are supposed to get it if u have stayed for more than 6 months after ur 18th bday

"In general, you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over need to obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18"

i guess i don't need it then..yippieeeee..even though i stayed in colombo for four years but only three months after my 18th bday... hehehehehe \:d/ thank you guys.

Guys,... I'm not sure of I should ask this question : what if I go in and out of a country very often, and if I should total up all the times I have been in said country, it's more than 6 months, and it's after my 18th Birthday,... so do I need a Police Cert from there please ? By the way, I have an apartment in the said country where I sleep in when I am there. So, do I need the clearance ?

Why so much mystery about that said country? You need a certificate from that country as it seems that is your place of residence, unless you explain your situation better, that's what I'm inclined to say.
