You can find some information on how to get licensed as a nurse in Canada at http://www.cicic.ca/684/Registered_Nurses.canada?prof=3152 and it also includes some provincial information like:

College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
890 Pembina Hwy.
Winnipeg MB   R3M 2M8   Canada
Phone : (204) 774-3477
Phone (alternate): 1-800-665-2027
Fax : (204) 775-6052
Email : info @ crnm.mb.ca
http://www.crnm.mb.ca/

I am sure you will have to take an exam.  In some cases it may be easier to get licensed to work as a practical nurse.  You can find information on that here: http://www.cicic.ca/684/Practical_Nurses.canada?prof=3233
