I sent it on Nov 9th and didn't get the official acknowledgment of receipt yet - just the one from the post office.

Actually, I didn't understand whether CIC send an acknowledgment of receipt of the file or if they only contact you once they have studied your file and your sponsor is approved. Does anybody know what happens? What if there is a document missing?
I am worried because I forgot to put my pictures inside of the envelope with my documents which was already sealed - so I included them in the big envelope, with the documents related to my husband.
How did you send your documents?

Hi Agga -
No worries, I did the same thing. The pictures stayed on the photocopier. I contacted them, and they will advise you of your file number and to send the pictures as soon as they get to your file. I verified directly with the CPC-M to obtain this information. I hope this helps!

In our case hubby sent our application by Canadapost if you use the same you can actually track it using the tracking number I'm the one who actually track our application because my hubby was busy. |

What I meant was the cases of Sh7228, Louise86 and Mlle_81, who according to the November spreadsheet have already heard from CIC. I'm getting nervous as I see that people who have filed before me have already heard news from CIC, but I haven't. How were you informed of their confirmation of receipt? By post or on the e-cas website?
By the way, my visa office is Sao Paulo (Brazil).
