Thanks. I got nothing so far, so probably I shouldn't be expecting to receive an approval any sooner... I'm really surprised at these timelines. Usually they're pretty close to what the site says. I had it marked on my calendar next week was my week. I was in the Buffalo thread and saw that someone who submitted on Nov 15 got approved in a month! They must have gotten some of the files mixed up. I'm sure yours will be here soon. It's possible you're already approved but just got an officer who sends things via snail mail rather than email.

Yes I got the same letter, though there are rumors in Damascus thread that the files are being transferred to other visa offices, actually one guy said he received a phone call today from Damascus and the lady on the phone told him his file is going to be transferred to Ankara! I really don't know what's going on!

Hi All,
I have a question. My wife has a multiple entry canadain visit visa which is valid for one year ? She has come to canada twice after applying the PR , that is during the US thanks giving and the new year. Will that effect her PR application process. I mean delay in approval. We have submitted the copy of her visit visa with all passport pages along with her sponsor application.
Thanks

What I find strange is that CIC give's us a UCI number to check our status, yet there is no record available yet. Maybe they do this to drive people crazy! haha At least it could report AOR email sent

Today seems quiet....bah. It's amazing how my patience comes and goes during this process. I need to hang in there, especially when it's so close. *big breath* Oh patience, where are you today?

It really seems things aren't treated in a linear way... I'm checking the mailbox every single day to see if anything arrives, but we got nothing yet. I got to Canada this week with a student visa, couldn't take the waiting at distance. Now I hope my PR comes before the end of the trimester so that we don't end up with a huge student debt - but it will still be worth it having come in case it doesn't... Next week is us!

I don't think so. Actually I read somewhere that entering Canada under another status does not have any influence whatsoever in your process, and that's why I applied for a student visa - with which I entered Canada without any problems a few days ago. Also, I spent three months here before filing my application, left for 15 days, re-entered for our wedding and then stayed for three other months - I asked CIC whether it would be a problem and they said that it didn't change anything. However, I filed my application on Nov 10th and I still haven't heard anything from them. If staying after filing for sponsorship is a problem, then it explains their silence...
