Do bank charges some commission for this.

Any comparision with other banks e.g. HSBC

HSBC program needs you to consolidate a $25,000 balance with HSBC in Canada in one year same is not needed by Scotia.
Also I Scotia presence is much larger in Canada than HSBC
For Scotia, to transfer around CAD20K, you end up paying around INR 2000-2300, I do not know the HSBC costs
