Hi seniors/experts,
To be on safe side I went to the bank toady to get my documents notarized.
The bank said it is not the law of this state (in USA) to notarize photocopies.
The only thing they can do is they can put the notary stamp on my documents provided I write on each document "this is a certified and accurate copy" and I need to sign it in front of the notary.
The bank will then put the stamp as public notary.
Is it OK to send the documents like this.
Will the CIC accept this notary.
Thank you
Dear App,
If you check and this tends to be your only resort, then go ahead, however ibsuggest you search this forum for similar cases.
In EG7 guide, the authorized signatory outside Canada is defined as:
• a judge • a magistrate • a notary public • an officer of a court of justice • a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living
So the applicant can't be the same signatory as per the above definition.
Cheers
Mezo
