I am preparing my full documents to be sent to ND. Can somebody help me with these?

  • Should I notarize all photocopies that I submit?
  • Some documents like bank statements, payslips etc are downloaded from web site, how do I show the original for these to the notary? take the laptop along? or Is it OK if take color prints and mark them as original?
  • The notary should sign and put his/her seal, any specific details about the notary should be present, like registration number, license expiry and so on?
  • I have nearly 100 pages to get notarized, 4 passports, visa, payslips, birth certificates....what is the typically charged by a notary in India?

Please respond....

My case:
He asked for Rs. 1.00 per page. However, I managed to pay Rs. 0.60.
He didn't ask for the originals, just stamped & signed without seeing the content.
I notorised all photocopies including black & white prints from web.
Don't notorise originals.

Regards

Yes Except the Passport pages, you should notarized all required photocopies
  • Some documents like bank statements, payslips etc are downloaded from web site, how do I show the original for these to the notary? take the laptop along? or Is it OK if take color prints and mark them as original?
Paylisp are not a mandatory document and can be submit on color print out as original. May be a stamp from HR/Finance. Bank statement should be taken from bank with their letterhead or Seal. At least it is possible in India

  • The notary should sign and put his/her seal, any specific details about the notary should be present, like registration number, license expiry and so on?
Following info is needed on the Notarized document
I certify that this is a true copy of the original document
The name of the original document
the date of the certification
his or her name
his or her official position or title
his or her signature

  • I have nearly 100 pages to get notarized, 4 passports, visa, payslips, birth certificates....what is the typically charged by a notary in India?
Commisionar of Oath charged me Rs. 3 per page, notary was asking for Rs 10

I live in Kuwait, but will be visiting India soon. I'm assuming its ok for me to carry my docs with me to India and get them notarized there? It's a cheaper option....

what about documents in Hindi, how to translate them, translate my self and
notarized by lawyer or notary public

1) any lawyer can certified our documents or
2) only notary public can certified our documents.

Ankit_20,
Thanks for the reply.

The notary does not have rubber stamp that  says:
"I certify that this is a true copy of the original document
The name of the original document
the date of the certification
his or her name
his or her official position or title
his or her signature

"

Will CHC ND accept regular stamps that says "Certified True Copy"?

Yes, I see no reason why they should not

In my case I got the stamp made by my self and gave it to Notary
