Hi every body
can you guys let me know any of you get the affidavit from the translator or not. or do we need to get the affidavit from the person who is doing the translation of our documents from urdu to English such as (NIC, NIKAH NAMA AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE) or not.  I live in UK my younger brother took all my documents to the translator usually we find out side the session and high courts called Oath commisioner he translate all the documents but refused to give any affidavit he says the paper (mean forms) and the format they use to translate our details on are issued by government and every thing on it is altready sworned. my brother told me he put all the golden seals his stamps signs every thing on them.My brother also told me it is written on all of those paper that it is truetranslation of the which  document I mean name of the document such as (NIC) as well as my brother told me it is also stamped that authorized to use out side the Pakistan under international LAW. CAN SOME ONE PLEASE FURTHER GUIDE ME EITHER DO WE STILL NEED TO TAKE THE AFFIDAVIT OR NOT.

MY second question is about the notarized documents.

as of LONDON CHC they ask us to put this on every notarized document.

‘‘I certify that this is a true copy of the original document''
•
the name of the original document
•
the date of the certification
•
his or her name
•
his or her official position or title
•
his or her signature

my brother get it done all this for me but he said the  notary public did not put any of these things in writing on the documents instead he stamp every documents saying true copy , his personal stamp with his position his sign date of notarizing the documents and golden seal used for International documents noarization.
CAN YOU GUYS LET ME KNOW IS THIS OK OR i HAVE TO HAVE ALL ABOVE THINGS MENTIONED IN WRITING ON EACH AND EVERY DOCUMENTS AS lONDON VISA OFFICE INSTRUCTION ARE. THANKS

Hi riz1,

I think the true copy seal will serve the purpose because true copy means that he has seen the original, i also got my documents notarized that way. wish you best of luck.

This becomes important because be advised that upon your request and approval we may follow up the matter from our side and obtain the granted document .

"True copy" is written on documents if we get documents certified. In Notary, no such thin thing is written thats what some seniors and some notary public people told me.....I am really confused now....2ndly he did not mention any date on my documents after signature. what should i do with that now?

Any legal document translation should indeed be done by a certified translator AND notarized, depending on the country (in some places, the certified translator's seal is as a good as a notary's).
You should, however, direct all you questions regarding what need in terms of documents and seals the embassy or consulate of the country you are traveling to, since it is THERE where you will need you paperwork to be in order. Take what you have to them and don't be afraid to ask!
