Author Topic: not sure what type of certificate i got for schooling? help?  (Read 209 times)

I did a two year program my last 2 years of high school for health assisting. I'm not sure what type of certificate it is or what I should put it as on my application. all it says is "certificate: this certifies ____ has completed the course of study and training in health assisting. any ideas?  Shocked

If you're applying family class - as a sponsored spouse or c/l partner - it doesn't really have any bearing on the application anyway.  Just put the dates of schooling and the school name in your history, and note that you got a High School diploma.  Those types of things become important later - if you apply for a job in the field.  But, being sponsored, you don't have to prove "merit" as far as your training or ability to get a job.  That's the point of "sponsorship".

Thank you.  I know this doesn't apply to my first question but on the application it says provide work history since age of 18 but when i looked through the guide it says 10 years back. which one do i do?

It has to be at least 10 years, more if you're older than 28.  So, for example, if you're 26 years old you'd go back 10 years to age 16. But if you're 36 years old, you'd include 18 years of history, back to age 18.  Someone 56 years of age might have a hard time remembering every place they've lived and worked over the last 38 years  Shocked   . . . but that's the requirement.
