hoe do you know that whether your DD was encashed or not. pls help.

Mine was cashed on Dec. I checked with bank. If you have a copy of it, just ask the bank. They are able to tell you even the date it has been cashed.

5 min ago I received an email from Ottawa which contains my file number and medical request.
It says average processing time of CEC in Ottawa is 10 months.
Buffalo received my file on Oct 17, 2011.

Thanks Mari!  I hope so too.  My lawyer seems to think that I won't be getting my PR until December 2012 but I am hoping it will come a lot sooner.  It's been a loooong journey.

Congratulations first of all!

I had a quick question. Did you receive medical through snail mail or email. 2nd is your file in buffalo. If so lets connect cause my file was received on Nov 30 and I received medical and file number from buffalo on 14 March.
