Hi! I'm a new to this forum.

I browsed all your helpful topics.  Cheesy I may have missed the answer to my question.

I was looking and checking all the 29 in demand jobs for FSW. Unfortunately, my current skills are not on the list. I was advised to look for pre-arranged employments. But It has been a 10 months now and employers always turn me down once they learn that I needed sponsorship.

Are there other options I could take to push through my application?

Thank you very much!

Have you looked into any of the provincial immigration streams? Information is here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/index.asp

There's also a section of this site dedicated to discussions about immigrating using this route:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/provincial-nomination-program-immigration-b6.0/

Finally, the CIC may revise the list of 29 occupations this June. Unfortunately it's impossible to say if the list will stay the same or if some occupations will be added/removed - however you may want to take another look at the list in a few months.

Hi Scylla,

Thanks for the information. I'll checking these websites.

Does the CIC annually update the in demand occupation every June? I'm hoping that my skills will be at least be on the list this. I'm into Solar industry and I've heard a lot of solar jobs are available right now in Ontario.

This list is valid till June 2011. Next July, this NOC list will be updated.

I hope this time my skills would be included.  Smiley

Do they release any hints what would be changed? The release is in two months time. I'm quite excited.
