Not In Process yet..

Hi guys..
I submitted a spousal sponsorship for my wife that resides in Jordan back in Dec 2011. It has been about 7 months now and the status on the CIC website is still " We have received the application for "My Wife's name" on such and such date" and that's about it. I know the status should say In Process at some point but mine isn't yet.. Anyone out there experienced the same thing? or would know how long does it take to go to the " In process phase" Please let me know

Jordanian applications go through Damascus, which has an average of 11 months for 80% of cases.  Your wife is still within the average timelines, so there is nothing extraordinary about her application not being "In Process" yet.  The good news is, at seven months in, you are on the downside of waiting, most of it should be behind you, so long as she falls within the majority 80%.
