Hi
Hi everyone,
I've been doing alot of research the past few weeks about immigration to Canada from the UK but all it's done is confuse me and left me heartbroken. I'll explain:
I'm 19 and have been a UK Citizen all my life.
Canada has always interested me but I have never had any chance to move out there, however, an opportunity has arised where I will have a place to stay, a job and people I know to talk to.
Since I finished high school education has never really bothered me as I prefer more hands on and work. I've had 3 jobs, starting as soon as I left school I worked for Zodiac aerospace as a trainee aerospace engineer. after gaining a years solid work experience I became a web designer/ Administrator and more to my liking I found a job where I am currently working for Computacenter doing data eradication and computer refurbishment, for a technical team.
I really would like to start afresh in what seems to be (In my personal opinion) a great country full of opportunities, but do not know where to start.
What would be best?
Thanks in advance
Ben
1. With no real skilled work experience on the "list of 38" occupations, it is unlikely that you would qualify for emigration.
2. If you want to work and experience Canada for a year, as you are under 30 you can apply for a Bunac working holiday visa, which would allow you to work for any employer in Canada for a year. It is not extendible but it would give you a chance to look around and see if you can find an employer that could/would sponsor an Approved Employment offer.
3. Although without a higher education or apprenticeship it is unlikely that you would qualify with and AEO. You could look upon it as a year's adventure.
