Non-Canadian Spouse visit?

Hi there,

New here to this forum.  In the process of sorting out details of spousal sponsorship, to my surprize this is such a complicated and lengthy process! Honestly, it is really frustrating.  Anyways, besides venting, I was wondering if anybody could advise me on dos and don't in the application to have my wife visit me on a "temporary residence visa."  Her application (from outside Canada) has already been denied, and it is upsetting how little of an explanation is provided.  Has anyone here had a successfull vist visa application for spouse?  I have yet to submit the sponsorship application and am wondering if having submitted that would help at all with the visit visa (try two).  The reason I ask that is because one of the basis of the visit visa being granted is showing that the applicant will return/leave Canada so having a simultaneous sponsorship and visit visa application is a bit contradicting?

It is very common for a spouse to be denied a TRV to visit Canada -  The assumption is that the spouse will not leave at the end of the visit.

Get the application started (and submitted), the sooner it is in, the sooner you start, the sooner she will be here.

Thanks for the reply baloo.  That was my guess too that they would deny because the proof of return would be weak.

Explore dual intent but your wife still has to show proof of ties with her country of residence.

They should allow Spouse to visit Canada after 8 months of filing their Immigration for countries where processing time is taking more than a year -- It hard to stay away from your spouse for that long --
