Hi! every Body!

I have been reading your post for a while and I found so many useful information. Thanks to you all sharing your news and experiences.

Here I have a very important issue to talk about:

I am applying under NOC 1122 and I am doing it via an immigration lawyer.
I have completely collected all documents and my file is on the way to Canada, however, my Lawyer says most probably - the exact expression is most probably, becasue they have received some refused file and they think it is because the 1000 cap is already filled and they have received no confirmation on this.

I appreciate if somebody could help to confirm or deny this news.
Also is there nayone who has applied during the past week or so and have her/his credit card chrged for processing?

Thanks in advance.

I am in the same boat.  Confused about the CAP status of 1122.  I applied on 20th Sept 2010. IELTS (Score - 7.5 Band) and PCC sent alongwith the application.

Would really appreciate if any one can share the update, if any for cat 1122.

 @ 1122 Applicant

Your lawyer could be stating the truth since NOC 1122 is one of the most soughtafter occupation codes.  However, the CIC has not officially come out and announced closure of 1122 code.

My advice to you is to submit your application ASAP.  And check out the below thread for more info -- a lot is discussed here from a wide range of topics including the quota system:

There was one applicant here (under 1122) whose credit card was charged on Oct 1st.  So clearly the quota was still open by that time, and it's only been a few days since Oct 1.  So give it a try, and who knows, you might as well make it.  G'luck.

Dear All,

I am working for a consultancy and as per my knowledge applications sent before october are almost safe as the 1122 code has reached the CAP only on Nov 5th.According to my calculation everything should be fine and you guys should recv the file no. but you might have to wait for 3 to 4 months for getting thefile no. Do post queries for further clarifications

Suggest that you lawyer read this:  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp  It states the cap is filled for 1122.

Don't forget that all the applications in 1122 hadn't been opened prior to the cap being reached.
