Hi,

I have a Master degree in Mechanical and manufacturing engineering from UK and i work as PIPING DESIGN ENGINEER in one of the oil and gas companies, I am confused and would like to know whether my occupation is eligible in NOC category, if so please can you tell me the number of NOC. i have two years of work exp and looking forward to apply under federal skilled worker. Please advice me. and let me know if you need any additional information that i can provide.

It's depend what type of experience you have atleast for 1years from last 10years.
as per my opinion your experience should be match with current 29 NOC list atleast >75%.
I hope you already looked on

◦7216 Contractors and Supervisors, Mechanic Trades
◦0811 Primary Production Managers (Except Agriculture)
◦8222 Supervisors, Oil and Gas Drilling and Service
◦7372 Drillers & Blasters - Surface Mining, Quarrying & Construction
◦7312 Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanics

depend on your experience, checkout the complete discription and match your work experience with it. If its matched over 75% of your job role with current NOC than you qualify to apply under that NOC.
Remember you must have to clear minimum 67points + proof of funds for you and your dependents to apply.

please checkout and match experience first then go for self-assesment on www.cic.gc.ca website.
