Going through the details explained in the hrsdc page, it states under employment experience:

or
Completion of college or other program in cooking
or
Several years of commercial cooking experience are required. -What should be considered as severeal?? will 2 years due?

Hi Harry,
I don't have any experience in nor education as cook, but my husband has worked as pizza cook for 2 years and no education regarding cook (he study professional school as Drafter), I was wondering if he could apply as cook since the NOC I was applying (1122) got its cap filled really fast.
Thanks

Dear Jeca
Field of study has no impact on the eligibility to apply for a certain Noc like 6242. What level of education your husband has completed ?. Is it a diploma or a degree ?. Do you and your husband add upto 67 points ?. If yes gooooo ahead with the application.
