Hi dear christine,
You got a great score. As you know 6.5 an over is considered high in reading, speaking and writing. 7.5 and over is considered high in listening.

mohanrkkdi's score is high according to CIC. Please take it into consideration that he has done the Academic IELTS.

Hi mohanrkkdi,

Having faith is the only thing that can help in in this path. Your score is acceptable based on CIC guide. There is nowhere in CIC to say 6.5 in Academic IELTS is low for an English teacher. You can even prove yourself to the interviewer at the meeting.
good luck Smiley

hi mohanrkkdi

Do u think from yr own ILETS score, u would qualify as an english lecturer in a land where english is the native language? Also ask yrself if the IO is a native speaker of english, and looking at yr ILETS score, would he think that u are qualified enough to teach english in Canada?

I know of people whom have obtained ILETS score of 8 for all sections and myself 8 for all sections and i am not even qualified to teach english in Canada and English is my native language. So, to be frank, i would advise u to apply under the lecturer NOC but please do not put English teacher as yr profession cause simply shows yr disqualification to be one. Do consider if u want to be considered to for the PR status. Just a friendly advice and caution.

From this website, there has been some rejections due to weak ILETS score under the NOC 4131. So please exercise caution when u apply under certain NOCs.

hai, abelwh
thank u for ur advice.
i put my profession as lecturer
i didn't put English Lecturer as my profession.
but my appointment letters and
other supporting documents testify that i worked for English Department.

moreover my points are secured from Academic module.
not the general one.
if they call me for any interview, on what grounds do u suppose
i can argue in favour of my application.

But as a part of learning from a case: I have a question; My current employer (of 5 years) has given me a reference letter with job duties mentioned bu tmy past employer (of 2 years) is just giving me a reference letter but not with job duties. Both jobs meet the same NOC, do you think my ex-employer not giving a refernce letter with job duties mentioned, is that a problem?

Regards,

J

if there is such a problem, you could explain it to chc
in addition you could provide your job contract

you already would be aware that your details of the job are extremely very important

Hi Ranjha,
here i feel that u should send them a case specific enquiry and ask them for further instructions. As in your case its more than 2 months for ' in process' status.. U must remind them about your application..
they will definitely reply you what they are waiting for...
