Could you share your time-line pls .What your e-cas  displaying  is the status of the decision of the initial application sent to NS  followed by an email regarding your eligibility for further process asking full docs or rejection.I couldn't figured out why aren't they concentrating  on the  subsequent updating of your status. As you said, you already inquired about the matter but nothing changed. How come they still don't change it despite your interference into that !!

Goal

Hi Goal,
my initial application was filed in January 2009
received mail from Sidney Feb 12 2009
sent full docs June 25 2009
AOR from visa office August  31  2009, and in my AOR from Visa office stated that my file will take 18 months to be processed.

I have read from this forum, that not every visa office updates applications online and that is the reason i am not worried about it. Each time i write to them they let me know what is happening, so i think i will just be patient and see what happens next.

The information i have pasted is all what it reads. There is no other information apart from that.

Thanks

Canadaforall.

Hi Wolfy,
My E.cas has never changed, it shows the same old information from Sidney, but i  changed my address once and they updated my address, but not my E.cas.

 1) Should i asked them why my E.cas is not being updated or just wait for their mail?

When i wrote to find out about my status they replied and said " Your file is being processed"

2) My question is does it mean the same thing like "in process?" and if so where do i find myself according to the above article?

Thanks in advance.

hello canadaforall,

Please mail to CHC with your file number and ask them about the update. When you check your E.caes on CHC website, you have email information for contact (As below url) in case you have changed your address and it is not refelecting on the site.

This would help you ==========> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/new-delhi.asp

It does happen sometimes that after changes in address , CHC takes small amount of time to update the website... and yes it would show "In progress"

Please do share you documentation history and progress

Please let me know if you want know anything more.. I would be more than happy to tell what all i can share with you..

Regards

Hi  Wolfman567,
Thanks very much for the response.  Yes on the website, when i checked my file status online, it shows my new address  and also my e.mail address.

Below is how it reads and was sent by Sidney and since then it has never been updated apart from my address.

"We received your application for permanent residence on January 30, 2009.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 12, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

The have never changed this information, they sent me second AOR and i thought it  would change and now i wrote an e.mail to them  and they said " Your file is being processed"  That is the reason why, i was finding out if " being processed" means the same like "in process".

I know my application has taken a little longer, but from the Visa office, when i was sent the 2nd AOR i was told it would take 18 months to be processed. I got the 2nd AOR last August, so following the time line i am still within the time frame.

Yes, i will share any information and updates once i am informed by visa office.

Thanks  so much

Canadaforall.
