Hello All,

I am eligible to apply under NOC 0213. when i consulted the consultancies in HYD, they are asking for a reference letter from employer
with roles, responsibilties, designation, etc.. etc. I requested my employer and he denied to provide the same as i am applying it on my own/my personal  and not official/company requirement.

I am wondering how can i proceed and at the same time how the ppl from other companies are able to manage the documents.
Those who applied under NOC 0213- pls help me/suggest me.

Thank you much!!

Yes u can stll proceed. Its mentioned in EG7 that if u are unable to get a letter from your current employer, u can provide an explanation. You can explain that your current employer issues such letters only for official purposes, while you are still under employment.

hi,

I know it is not easy to get this doc, while u r still working. dont tell the reason, but u can try asking these docs for the purpose of higher education, bank loan etc. I asked from my co, asking them I need a letter with my job description for the purpose of higher education like executive MBA where work experience is one of the criteria for the admission. You can also get a reference letter from your colleague in a plain paper with their business card.

all the best

Hi, Thank u so much for replying..u know the unfortunate thing in our company is every reqmt is having a standard format, they give in that for mat only. Like if u say for higher education, they will mention that this has been issued for the purpose of higher education only..something like this.. anyways let me try that option. And the other one..reference from colleague.. does it really work meaning is it having an equal weightage of getting a letter from employer?? is it officially considered?? do you know anyone tried in this way??..pls clarify me.. thank u !! good luck for you.

Go to www.cic.gc.ca forms download section. There's an application guide (EG7.pdf). You need to read every word of it at least 3 times. Then start the application process.
