No word yet!

Hi all,
I sent in my wife's application to CPC-M November 20th and it arrived there (via EMS) on November 24th. I tracked it through the internet. I have yet to receive any word from CIC or anything on the CIC website (check application status). Should I be worrying more with this or be more patient? It is bad enough that I worry about the required documents and the forms being filled out correctly but now there is this!
Any words of advice would help our situation.
Thanks...

Checking this page...
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#sponsorship
Shows that as of last week they had only gotten around to processing Sponsorship Applications up to Nov 21st. So yours is probably being looked at now. Processing takes 35 days so you will probably get an answer around the first week of January because of Christmas holidays meaning some days they don't work. And of course as long as the mail is not slow.

Hi all,
I feel pretty stupid... I guess when you fill in the information fields on the CIC website (to check application status) you should put the SPONSOR's information not the applicant's...
Anywho, they got our application Dec. 1, processed it by Dec. 19 and sent the decision in the mail which I have not received yet. Hopefully it's good news... seems very fast though!

The sponsorship assessment goes pretty fast - once they open the package and make sure everything is complete, they assess the sponsor's part and make a decision . . . usually within a day or two. It's after the application goes to the overseas visa office that the real wait begins.

Thanks Robsluv. I misread the words on the application status. It says they received the app December 1st and processed it December 19 AND sent the decision letter December 19. I am very worried that I missed something in the app since I read they sent the decision in 1 day! But after reading your words, I can rest a little bit now!
Thank you and happy holidays!
