no sealed envelope from Romanian univeristy

Hey guys,
I am applying as a skilled worker; with a common law partner.
Can u pls help me find the answer for the next 2 questions:
1.   Transcripts- My university (Romania) gave me a set of transcripts when I graduate in 2003. They give you those transcripts once and not in a sealed envelope. So, may I send a copy of those (in Romanian) and also a translated and notarized one? That's gonna be ok? Should I send a letter to explain the missing sealed envelope? Or not?
2.   Employment contracts and letters from employers- only for NOC (0, A, B) jobs? Or for all the jobs I had? What if my present job is not in the NOC (0,A,B) jobs list? Should I send a letter from this employer? My common law partner is self employed; he has to send a letter also?

Hi,

1. Get another set of transcripts and ask the University to seal them in a envelop, usually they put their seal on the closed envelope. Copy of the transcripts should be separate from you and translated in English and certified.
2. You need a letter of experience in the NOC you are applying in, you don't need to give all your job experiences. If you are the principle applicant, you do not need your spouse experience letter.

Universities in Pakistan also do not provide transcripts in a sealed envelope. As CHC is also aware of local system of that country so CHC of pakistan is accepting transcripts without sealed envelope.

But again not sure about CHC of your country. You could check it with applicants of your country?

You could go back to the University and ask them to put the original transcripts in a sealed envelope. This should be possible and would probably take less than 3 minutes from their precious time.

Hi ramo,

I wouldn't recommend to send the original transcripts/diplomas to the Canadian consulate because,  as you already know, they are unique, and if they get lost, it's a quite complicate and expensive legal procedure to obtain another set of originals from a Romanian university.

I would suggest to make notarized copies of your transcripts/diplomas and their English translation (signed by a certified translator and having affidavit) and take them and the originals to your university office.
There you could ask the secretary to compare the originals with the copies and, if everything is right, ask her to put the copies in an envelope, seal the envelope with the university seal, and write the Canadian Consulate address you are interested in on the envelope.

Also be sure you take the envelope back with you (because it will be part of your application) and not let the university's secretary to send it to the Canadian Consulate.
