We sent our PR application to Canada Nova Scotia  for Buffalo office (as we are in US right now) and it reached there on 14th Sept. Since then we haven't heard anything from them. We are not sure if they found us eligible for PR under skilled labour category . How long does it generally take to get an acknowledgment from them ? What should we do in this case ? Any similar cases ?

Wait patiently. It may take upto 2 months to receive an AOR.

Give it a  couple of more weeks before this thought becomes a concern.

The best way to verify any information on Canadian Immigration is to visit the official website of CIC - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp

September filers have started getting their AOR now only. You can follow the other topic in this forum for September 2009 filers. That will give you an update on how many of them have got their AOR.

Thanks Pasi and mark. I got the AOR yesterday. Should I send the supporting docs also to Buffalo along with complete application form or should I wait to hear from Buffalo as a next step. Thanks...

I have a quest here, If they dont find the application suitable for FSW, does CIC re-fund the fee?
Did u send all your ref letters stating your duties etc? and which skill set ?

It is not a choice, you must submit the full application with the supporting documents to Buffalo visa office as soon as possible before your 120 days elapse, Buffalo will not contact you if they do not receive your application and supporting documents except after 120 days to inform you that your application has been refused because you have not sent anything before the deadline.

Hurry up man, do not waste your time.
