Unfortunately 4141 is not on the list so it will probably be rejected. There are some people on the forum who say that those applied between Feb and Dec 2008, may still be processed without being on the 38 job list. Then again, if that was the case, why would they send to Sydney, NS.

I am not an expert at Canadian Immigration. Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon

Dear rupeshhari I have gone through many of your replies in different times. I respect your comment as your description is logical. I applied in June 2008, not in 38 NOC. Now become a little bit positive that CIC may consider the application between Feb-Nov 08 (not under 38 NOC) as we got a past reference from the thread of mcgyver. All the applications sent to Sydney for ministrial instruction. Sydney will decide whether to process the application. The decsion of processing the application is not under the authority of local visa office. Local visa office can decide only on the 38 NOC. But nobody can confirm about that unless we get any reply. On the other hand many applications applied during the period and not under 38 NOC, are already refused. This makes a confusion whether the rest will get any positive result. Regards, SYED

Rupeshhari - If they are going to accept all applications between Feb and Dec, then there is no reason to shortlist using Sydney. They would have followed the old method of the local visa office processing the application without shortlisting. Maybe they are going to cut out some of those who did not fall in the list and accept others and that could be a reason for sending to Sydney. Unfortunately, if you check trackit today, there is one person who got rejected.

Is there anyone who applied during the month of Jun-2008 as Secondary school teacher (4141) and got reply from ISLAMABAD OR CIOw. www.cic.gc.ac mentioned on its site that "If you are not sure if you should apply as a skilled worker, you can" use the " eligibility " tool to get an idea of whether your application would be eligible for processing, then try a self-assessment test to see if you might earn enough points to qualify. Secondary School Teacher fall in "Social Sciences and Education Category" in Skill level A. Please reply

there are many many cases like you. your job code is not under 38 noc. although 4131 : College and Other Vocational Instructors is under it. I also applied in June 2008, not under 38 noc. Nobody is sure about the fate of the applicants applied between Feb-Nov 2008 not under 38 noc. If you get any relevant information regarding the issue pls. inform. Thanks. SYED

Guys,
I thought 4141 can still be considered in the 38 bec of this info I read recenty,
4131 College and Other Vocational Instructors This unit group includes instructors who teach applied arts, academic, technical and vocational subjects to students at community colleges, CEGEPs, agricultural colleges, technical and vocational institutes, language schools and other college level schools. This unit group also includes trainers who are employed by private training establishments, companies, community agencies and governments to deliver internal training or development courses. College teachers who are heads of departments are included in this group. Click here for a list of Example Titles of this occupation. Applicants with experience in the following occupations may also be considered under this NOC depending on the specifics of the main duties performed:
* Instructors teaching non-academic or non-vocational courses (in 4216 Other Instructors) * Secondary School Teachers (4141) * University Professors (4121
I hope I've interpreted it correctly...

No you haven't CHC will not consider secondary teachers that fall under NOC 4141 as instructors under 4131. Read the opening statement of the NOC 4131 College and Other Vocational InstructorsPMM
